Since Spring 2023, Dimana Nakova has started a whole new approach to her fashion collections for IXTYS and has introduced One-of-a-kind textile artworks with each one of them. The textile paintings are originals, made personally by the Creative Director. Most of the One-of-a-kind artworks have been chosen by international jury to be part of highly professional, multinational exhibitions. They are meant for interior decorating, but also serve as a starting point and a concept for the created afterwards gowns.
The author's textile technique is a collage of hand, free motion and digital embroidery, as well as applique and hand beading. We use only new high quality, designer Italian fabrics, left after the cutting and the embroidery process of the dresses and German certified recycled threads and backings. That makes the textile paintings incredibly sustainable.
