A STORY OF LIGHT MOVING THROUGH FORM
Some paths begin with a calling — one that reveals itself through years of work, devotion, and the quiet wisdom to listen deeply. This is one of those paths.
From the moment she decided to turn her passion into professional work, Dimana Nakova moved with intention — professional courses in sewing and free-hand embroidery at the age of sixteen were the beginning of what would become a lifelong journey. She went on to study Fashion Design for three terms at New Bulgarian University, Sofia, before continuing at UTS, Sydney, Australia — four years of study leading to her Bachelor degree in Fashion & Textile, a discipline that bridges textiles for both fashion and art. During her studies there, her skilled hands opened doors to some of Sydney's most prestigious bridal boutiques (such as De Challie and 7th Heaven), where she worked alongside Australian designers — not only shaping couture wedding gowns, but consulting with clients and guiding them through one of the most meaningful choices of their lives.

In 2003, she returned to Sofia, Bulgaria, and opened Atelier Ixtys — a space for couture wedding, evening, and cocktail gowns, for women who wanted something made entirely for them. Ixtys was the next step in a path that had always been unfolding.

Then came the runways — and what had always been a vision became something the world could witness and feel. IXTYS took to the runway — fashion shows in Bulgaria and Serbia, collections seen on Bulgarian National Television, NOVA TV, and Channel 3. The work opened doors to meaningful collaborations: with hair stylist Vassil Atanassov, Art Director of HCF & Lóreal Professionnel BG; with MAC Cosmetics; with WELLA Professional; with contemporary artist Alla Georgieva; and with musician Theodosii Spassov. Dimana also collaborated as a fashion journalist and consultant for Bulka Magazine and PARI Newspaper. She moved through the world of fashion with purpose — bringing to each client not just a dress, but a moment of pure, mutual delight in beauty.

From Spring 2013, the atelier shifted toward ready-to-wear — limited edition collections of cocktail and special occasion dresses. Each piece made in Bulgaria, as always from high quality Italian fabrics, finished with exclusive machine embroidery designed by Dimana herself, and couture hand finishes using threads by world leaders MADEIRA and Alterfil. The commercial chapter was unfolding. But the artistry within it was already reaching for something beyond — a growing need for work that was more deeply conceptual. With every client, the dress was a meeting — between her vision and their life. She loved that. And yet, something in her was quietly asking for a different kind of creation: one where she could pour herself in fully, without measure.

Then the work evolved into something she had always been moving toward.
From Spring 2023, Dimana Nakova began a wholly new chapter — one that had been quietly forming for decades. She introduced One-of-a-kind textile artworks — each one a bridge between the Spirit and the material world, where the invisible finds its form in thread and fabric. Each one conceived and made entirely by her hands. Each one a transmission. While most of these works carry a spiritual concern for people, some are dedicated to a particular calling — the protection of animals, nature, and the Earth. For nature and all living beings are an irrevocable part of the Spiritual.
The technique — for both the textile artworks and the one-of-a-kind gowns — is a collage of hand embroidery, free-style and digital embroidery, appliqué, quilting, hand beading and couture finishes — worked only with new, high quality Italian designer fabrics and German certified recycled threads and backings. The process is as conscious as the result. Sustainable by nature. Sacred by intention.

These works have been selected by international juries to participate in multinational exhibitions. They are not decorative. They are presences — made to live with, to accompany daily life, to change the energy of a space. They bring relaxation, joy, and a quiet sense of protection. They carry Love from Above and urge for spiritual upgrade.
Each textile painting is also the origin point of a One-of-a-kind dress — the concept moves from canvas to body, from wall to skin. Art that can be worn. Light that can be carried.
Today, IXTYS exists beyond fashion. It is a spiritual practice — where beauty becomes a vessel for love, consciousness, and the quiet truth that we are all one.
The concepts, the vision, the beauty — these are freely given to the world. When some works find their people, the true personal connection with us begins — email, conversation, a shared moment of recognition.
This is not the end of the story. What is here is a window — an invitation to feel the frequency, and if it speaks to you, to be in touch.
